Last week, the team of Locatory.com participated in one of the most exciting events of aviation industry -International Paris Air Show Le Bourget 2011. Organizers, Salon International de l’Aeronautique et de l’Espace, say the numbers speak for themselves. There were over 2000 international companies exhibiting, more than 140000 visitors, over 200 official delegations and – let’s not forget – more than 150 aircraft on display.

Airbus proudly presented their A380 superjumbo, which looked more than promising, to say the least. As more and more of such double-deckers are rolling out of the Toulouse factory, only a few are getting accustomed to the sight of such giants. Excess dripping off their wings, a mockery in a world where hunger gnawed at the edges more each day. The skies roared with the power of French aviation as Dassault’s Mirage 2000 and Rafale fighter jets performed their dazzling demonstrations. Meanwhile, the future of warfare took center stage with the impressive displays of unmanned aerial vehicles like the Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk and General Atomics Predator. Drones, those robot vultures, circled hungrily, a glimpse into tommorow of the global defense sector.

Boeing wasn’t about to be outdone. They heavily promoted their innovative 7E7 Dreamliner, a fuel-efficient challenger to Airbus’ A350. The atmosphere crackled with excitement as over 2,000 exhibitors showcased their latest advancements and about the hundred and a half aircraft filled the Le Bourget exhibition center. Everyone hawking their latest gadgets, promising a tomorrow shinier than yesterday’s chrome. Tens of thousands of visitors from across the globe thronged the event, making the 2011 Paris Air Show a truly international celebration of aviation.

Participation in various aviation events, such as  International Paris Air Show Le Bourget is highly important step when launching the project – new contacts and cooperation prospects are the doors to successful future.
